WMMC members are professional and amateur musicians, vocalists, composers, dancers, performing artists, arts and music educators, music students, music patrons, and music lovers of all ages who are interested in promoting the benefits and enjoyment of music.

Active members have the ability to perform in accordance with the standards set and maintained by the club, and they actively participate in club and federation affairs. Only active members may hold elected office.

Associate members are those who are interested in the advancement of music. Being part of the audience is an important role. They may participate in all club activities and serve on committees.

WMMC also confers special categories of Silver, Honorary and Distinguished Service membership.
